Our highly secure email servers provide our clients with secure IMAP and SMTP email that they can easily access using standard email clients like MS Outlook or the excellent Mozilla Thunderbird. What is special about our email is that: 1. Secure - our professionally managed servers are robust and secure, and unlike hotmail, gmail and other web-based email providers, your emails are kept private. 2. No more "mailbox is full" - we care about your business. It's not fair on you if someone sends a large email and suddenly your clients can't get in touch. We monitor the size of your email accounts and rather than stop you receiving mail, we'll simply let you know if it gets a bit full and give you the opportunity to clean it up safely. Remember our job is to support you! 3. Professional - many people let themselves down with unprofessional email addresses. For example if your website was www.cool-stuff.co.uk then it wouldn't look very good if your clients had to email you at cool-stuff123@hotmail.com - but some people make this mistake! Shockwave Flash
While we generally don't recommend the use of flash in sites, sometimes it is appropriate and may be used in a site that you are migrating over to our servers. We are happy to support flash hosting.

Databases
Databases allow you to store information in a structured and searchable way. The information they store could come from website - for example, marketting information. Java Hosting
Java is a professional programming language which includes the Java Servlet technology for web application development. We offer java hosting using Catalina, AJP1.3 and Apache 2x and MySQL as the Database option. Contact us to discuss your Java web application hosting requirements.
Multiple Domain Names
We support multiple domain names. So for example, you can have the .net .co.uk .com variants of your domain all resolving to your site.

Option 1: Contract Support

On-site and/or off-site IT support & consultancy at an agreed number of days per month to provide ongoing IT support and development.

Sparticle Ltd will provide a consultant(s) as a technical IT resource for an agreed number of days per month over an agreed duration. Within each month the client has the option (subject to availability) to organise the time to respond to their needs.

Benefits:

• Ensures continuity and consistency of resources.
• Reduces support costs as discounts are awarded for longer durations.
• Knowing that the resource is available means you have peace of mind and can plan for the future.
• Business familiarity for the consultant means that when "pay as you go" support is required the consultant already knows the system thus delivering better return on investment as you reduce the "lead in" time.

Example:

Sparticle Ltd provide You.com with one consultant for 4 days per month over a 6 month period. Each month we agree which days the consultant will be present so you can then plan your support needs.

Option 2: Pay as You Go Support

We provide you with support and consulting in a responsive and flexible way on an "as needs" basis.

Description:

The "pay as you go" approach allows you to get the support you need when you need it. This is perfect for professionals and small businesses who have varying IT support needs.

Benefits:

Flexibility is the key word for this approach. It suits clients who are uncertain what their future needs are or who's market is one where rapid response is an imperative.

A short while after Sparticle Limited have delivered your new website you decide to build on the success and add a couple of new pages and a new feature to the website. You simply contact us and we provide the expertise to get the work done quickly and efficiently and importantly we maintain the reliability and quality of your website.

Option 3: Fixed Price Support

We deliver a defined piece of work for a fixed price.

Description:

Many clients often have a specific and well defined one-off piece of work and we are able to give them a fixed price quote for delivering it. This is typical of a change that would take more than a day of "Pay as You Go" support.

Benefits:

Knowing the costs up front allows for budget planning. You can find out how much the work will cost before deciding when to schedule the work.

Example:

Sparticle have provided You.com with a business to business (B2B) web portal allowing your customers to order and track services online. You decide to extend the portal to include a new kind of service and Sparticle Limited provide a fixed price estimate for the work, which you then schedule and the new functionality is delivered.

Each of these support options can be used discretely or in conjunction with the other options allowing you to customise the service we deliver. As your IT needs continue to evolve then the above solutions provide you with the range and flexibility to ensure continuity and appropriateness of support.

Regular automated backups of your emails, website and databases

Imagine what would happen if you lost all your emails, or your database of products disappeared! Luckily for you we have put in place number of measures to protect your emails, website and databases. Every night we make a complete copy of your information. Once a week we also copy this information to another machine about 100 miles from the main server. The web and email servers have multiple hard drives (something known in as RAID) which means that if one fails your information is not lost. The power supply and networking to the servers is also fault tolerant. What does this mean for you... Peace of Mind.
