Q:Spartpress: How do I create links to my Spartpress blog posts on other sites?
This is really easy thanks to the way Spartpress creates search engine friendly URLs for each blog post. When you post on your blog Spartpress will create a new page for the post. In this way every blog post is treated like a new web page, great for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and also really handy when you want to link to your blog article.
- Go to your Spartpress blog and find the post that you want to link to.
- Now click on the title of the post and you will find that the page has just the one post on it.
- Copy and Paste the URL from the browser navigation bar - this is the unique name for the page.
- Paste the URL where you need it.
Creating links in HTML
Sometimes it's necessary to actually create a web link directly in HTML. Here's how you do it...
Just supposing we want to create a link to this site on another website. Well we know that the URL is "http://www.sparticlelimited.co.uk" so this is what we write:
<a href="http://www.sparticlelimited.co.uk">Visit Sparticle Limited for Professional IT Support</a>
Everything in the quotes is the URL that you will send people to.
Everything between the first > and the second < will be the text that they actually click on to follow the link.
